Late news round up

Gill Bland reports: With the final Cross Country races done and dusted it’s time for me to bow out and hand you over to the summer team managers.

I want to say a huge thankyou to every one who has competed for Harrow this season. I know it’s a sacrifice to give up your time to hurtle round muddy fields but I hope that it has been rewarding being part of the team this year. We hope to have an even stronger group next year so that we can start scoring

A few belated mentions before I sign off…

1. Inter-Counties

Congratulations to Eilish, Lucy and Rachael (U20) who qualified earlier in the season and ran for Middlesex in the inter- counties  at Loughborough on the 9th. Alas the results still aren’t up but when they are they’ll be at http://www.ukcau.co.uk/results.htm#CC

2. National XC champs in Leeds

Rosa was our brave, solo senior lady at the Nationals, running 43:13 (photo atatched). A quick hat-tip to Sofia Latham from the U15s who ran 19:34

3. BUCS in Exeter

Sorry for letting this pass me by, but it’s still worth shouting about…

Eilish, Rachael and Rosa did the BUCS XC champs in Exeter at the start of Feb. In a deep field Eilish came 39th (23:07.) out of more than 600 which is a fantastic result!

Have a fantastic summer of running everyone and if you happen to feel like practising some hills ready for next XC season I’ll be ever grateful. Best wishes, Gill
