At Harrow AC we are not only interested in how fast someone runs or how far someone jumps or throws but also, more importantly, on developing the technical skills (‘how’ to run, jump and throw) required to perform at your full potential and move like a champion.

Some recent examples of successes at Harrow AC from training in other events: :

  • Jade Spencer-Smith started off in sprints and now has the UK Under 15 best for PV as well as being inside the top 100 in hurdles.
  • Marilyn Nwawulor started off as a sprinter and in 2016 competed for GB in the Indoor Pentathlon.
  • Decathletes Dean Macey (European Silver) and Jamie Quarry (Commonwealth Games) started off in sprints and middle-distance but eventually excelled in 10 different athletic events!
