Are you one of those people who would like to make a change for the better in your lifestyle and introduce some form of regular exercise to get you on the “right track” for 2016? You’ve seen the parkrun community start up in central Harrow and thought to yourself you must give that a go but don’t know how to get started and the last time you tried running was too many years ago at school!
So, having started the year with the best of intentions you suddenly find that you’ve lost some of that resolve to get out there and you need help! Well have no fear, we at Harrow AC are here to help you get started and support you through to completing the NHS “Couch to 5K” plan.
Through the 9 week plan created by the NHS, our coaches will provide you with both support and guidance to help get you through the course and also enable you to mix with people from your local community with the same ambitions. Together we will ensure you progress through the plan and increase both your confidence and basic fitness to enable you to complete a 5K course in your local park.
A great outcome would be getting to a level of fitness where you can join the 100+ people each week who are running (and jogging!) the Harrow parkrun in Harrow Recreation Ground every Saturday morning.
