NAL match report from Tony Bush: Congratulations to all team members, coaches, officials and team managers on another great victory in the final round of the NAL last Saturday at StoneX stadium. Attached are the results and final league table, showing Harrow in second spot, a wonderful achievement for a team ranked seventh at the start of the season. The individual results show the position at Copthall and (in brackets) the overall position across all four Premiership venues.
There were many great performances in this final match. Neil Johnston set a new PB to win the 5,000 metres in a fast 13.56.53, beating the previous NAL/BAL best of 14.07 set by marathon and cross-country international Philip O’Brien in 1990.
Miguel Perera equalled his PB of 13.85 to go top of the Club’s all-time BAL/NAL rankings, ahead of international Brian Taylor. The sprint relay squad of Miguel, Omar Grant, Luke Collis and Jahde Williams obliterated the previous Club record to go top of the UK Club rankings with a very fast 40.56.
The women’s team also produced some brilliant results. Holly Mills won the 100 metres in a fast 11.61, to go top of the Club’s all-time NAL/UKWAL rankings. Megan Bailey won the pole vault with a new PB of 4 metres.
Thanks for all your support in the Club’s centenary year!
